AEFEM and ISGECOF establish partnership to guarantee access to higher education for vulnerable girls.

The Association for Women's Empowerment (AEFEM) and the Higher Institute of Management, Commerce and Finance (ISGECOF) signed, on Thursday (24), a memorandum of understanding that aims to expand access to higher education for Mozambican girls in situations of social vulnerability.

The partnership, which unites efforts between a civil society organization and a higher education institution, represents a significant milestone in the fight for equal opportunities and social justice in the country. The agreement will allow young girls, often excluded by socioeconomic barriers, to have the opportunity to pursue their studies and build a future with more dignity and autonomy.

Luísa Maiaze, known in artistic circles as Liloca and president of AEFEM, highlighted the importance of the gesture:

“This partnership stems from the conviction that all girls deserve to succeed, even when life hasn't given them a fair starting point. Our mission is to walk with them, step by step, until access to education is truly for everyone.”

With this initiative, AEFEM and ISGECOF aim not only to guarantee places in higher education, but also to offer ongoing support to beneficiaries, promoting female empowerment as a sustainable path for the country's development.
