Mozambican artist AZ Khinera recently performed live at Expo Osaka 2025 in Japan, performing the song "Eu Sou da Baía." The performance took place in the Mozambique pavilion and attracted the attention of several Japanese visitors, who recorded the moment on their smartphones, demonstrating their interest in Mozambican music and culture.
AZ Khinera was invited by the government of Cabo Delgado province and is part of Mozambique's official representation at the event. During his participation, he shared a symbolic gift with the Commissioner-General of the Mozambican presence, Riduane Ismael Adamo, where he stated: “"We represent our land with our heart and soul. I'm from Bahia! Mozambique is present in the world."”
