Chilembene is historically known as the birthplace of Samora Moisés Machel, the first president of the Republic of Mozambique, and has hosted numerous figures connected to national culture and music over the years.
Mabermuda's presence at the site reinforces the connection between Mozambican art and the communities in the country's interior, in a movement that values both the artists and the territories of great historical symbolism.
