The First Lady of the Republic of Mozambique, Ghetto Chapo, congratulated the young footballer Geny Catamo for the remarkable feat achieved beyond borders, highlighting the pride it represents for the country in winning major titles in European football.
Gueta Chapo praised not only the athlete's athletic performance but also the dignified way he has represented Mozambique abroad. In an encouraging message, the First Lady encouraged Geny to continue being a role model for young Mozambicans, emphasizing that his career serves as an inspiration not only in sports but in all areas where dreams and hard work combine to achieve success.

Geny Catamo, 23 years old, had a historic season with the Sporting Clube de Portugal, where he was consecrated two-time national champion and conquered the Portuguese Cup, thus making the traditional Tripe — an achievement that reinforces its growing presence in top-level football.
In response to the tribute, Geny Catamo thanked the First Lady for her gesture and reiterated his commitment to continue representing Mozambique with pride, dedication, and a sense of responsibility. "Carrying my country's flag is an honor that I take seriously. I will continue working to elevate Mozambique's reputation," declared the Mozambican international.
Remember that, last Wednesday, Geny Catamo was received by the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, in his office, in a ceremony that highlighted national recognition for his contribution to sport and the positive image he conveys of Mozambique around the world.
