The Mozambican musician Refiler Boy, recognized as one of the most consistent names in the province of Gaza, recently used his social networks to send a message to emerging artists Mr. Xikheto and Mr. Tonito, also natives of Gaza, who have been standing out in the marrabenta genre.
In his post, Reffiler Boy warned of the need for focus and maturity in one's artistic career.“These two young people, the day they discover that earning money is worth more than these unnecessary titles, will stop this mess and focus on working.”", he wrote.

The artist also criticized the way the two young men have been positioning themselves in interviews, especially when they find themselves involved in comparisons and rivalries fueled by certain interviewers.“I have some advice for both of you… avoid speaking in interviews when you don’t know what to say, otherwise you might get offended.”, he warned.
Reffiler also noted that both Mr. Xikheto and Mr. Tonito have been placed in uncomfortable situations in interviews, where they ended up making statements that devalued, albeit unintentionally, the other.“The same interviewer had already put Tonito in a tight spot and then did the same with Xikheto, without either of them realizing the impact of the words.”, he explained.
The message ends with a clear appeal: for artists to remain focused on creating music and avoid engaging in conflicts that, according to Reffiler Boy, are detrimental to both their individual image and the collective growth of Mozambican music.“The country offers space for everyone”, he concluded.
