Dygo Boy Júrus celebrates 40 years of life and a multifaceted career.

Mozambican rapper and presenter Dygo Boy Júrus, stage name of Hugo Diogo Mendonça, celebrates his 40th birthday today, April 25th. A central figure in music and television in Mozambique, Dygo Boy is recognized for his versatility, charisma, and cultural impact throughout his more than two decades-long career.

Beginning in Maputo's underground scene in the 1990s, Dygo Boy initially stood out as a member of the group 360°, and later in the Magnezia collective, which released hits such as "O Meu Bolso" and "Já Chegamos". He then joined the C-DUB project, solidifying his name as one of the pillars of national hip-hop, with his own style that mixes ostentation and social criticism, the so-called "Floss Rap".

In addition to music, Dygo Boy has established himself as a presenter on TV Miramar, where he hosts programs such as "Atracções" and "Groove". To mark the occasion, a special edition of "Interacção Matinal" aired today, featuring special guests who celebrated his artistic career and contribution to Mozambican entertainment.
