Francisco Chuquela Presents Exhibition “Xingolo Ngotlo” at Maputo Municipal Council

Record Mozambique reporter Francisco Joaquim Pedro Chuquela will inaugurate his solo exhibition entitled “Xingolo Ngotlo – A Metaphor of the Dreamed Country” on February 27th at 5:00 PM. The event will take place at the Maputo Municipal Council Building (CMM) and will be open to the public until March 8th.

The exhibition stands out for its use of recyclable materials, such as cans and iron, transformed into expressive works of art. Chuquela's work reflects his vision of the country and society, using art as a tool to provoke reflection and dialogue.

With this initiative, the artist proposes a sustainable approach to artistic production and reaffirms the role of recycling in building impactful visual narratives. The public will be able to see the creations up close and interpret the message behind each piece.
