Amélia Catiro, CEO of Brandwise Entertainment, the company responsible for managing artists such as Percella and Kheid Naldo, recently participated in a debate focused on leveraging the music industry in Mozambique. During her speech, Amélia highlighted the central role the government must play in ensuring the development and success of this sector in the country.
For the businesswoman, the sustainable growth of the music industry depends on concrete public policies that encourage artistic production, promote copyright protection, and ensure better conditions for local artists. "The government has a crucial role in creating a favorable environment so that Mozambican music can compete not only locally but also internationally," she emphasized.
Furthermore, Amélia emphasized the need for partnerships between the private sector and public institutions to leverage emerging talent and strengthen the cultural industry's infrastructure. "Our artists have incredible potential, but they need structural and financial support to better position themselves in the market," she concluded.
Amélia Catiro's participation reinforces the importance of dialogue between different actors in the music industry, with the aim of transforming challenges into opportunities and elevating Mozambican music to new heights.
