Daniel Joshua celebrates another year of life today. Born in the city of Maputo, Joshua began his musical career in 2012, winning the reality show "Casa Dos Sonhos," which marked the beginning of a journey that would lead him to conquer the Mozambican artistic scene.
Known affectionately as “Joshua” by his fans, the artist has continued to shine ever since, participating in other competitions such as “Elite Voice”, “Desafio Total” and “Vozes que Encantam”, including his participation in “Vozes da Pérola do Índico”, which contributed to his refinement and expansion of his talent. It was after these important steps that he released his first album, the EP “Rodei o Mundo”, in October 2020. The EP, composed of 4 tracks, reflects on themes such as human relationships, family, values and romanticism, and expresses Joshua's mission to transmit these feelings through his music. His mix of rhythms, influenced by his experiences in competitions and listening to various styles around the world, has made Joshua a fusion artist, creating a unique sound.
One of the standout tracks on the EP is “Wau Naru,” which has already garnered a growing audience on social media and is considered by many to be the song that will definitively mark her career. Recorded in local Mozambican studios such as RAM Multimédia and Artʹs Music, and produced by GM Records, the EP had an initial run of 500 copies and has been a success both in Mozambique and abroad.
In addition to his solo career, Joshua has dedicated himself to producing other national artists, helping to promote Mozambican music and creating opportunities for new talents to shine. He is also preparing collaborations with national and international musicians, promising even more surprises and good music for his fans.
