Barbie used her official Facebook page to clarify information related to financial contributions intended to help Valter and Mito Munguambe, who are facing health challenges.
Barbie explained that the group responsible for the fundraising was created by the singer Abuchamo Munhoto, who also provided his account number so that all contributions could be made directly to him. According to Barbie, all members of the group, including businesspeople, artists, and influencers, sent the funds directly to Abuchamo's account.
Initially, Barbie realized that the group would raise around 50,000 meticais, which she considered insufficient. To increase the amount, she sought external sponsors, which allowed the total raised to reach 260,000 meticais.
The artist highlighted that she suggested allocating 200,000 meticais to Valter's family, 50,000 to the beneficiary's close friends, and 10,000 to the musician Mito Munguambe, who needs support for medical treatments. Barbie clarified that she never received any money directly and that all funds remain under the responsibility of Abuchamo, the group's creator.
During an interview, Abuchamo confirmed that Barbie was not responsible for managing or receiving the funds raised, supporting her role in the group.
Barbie concluded by thanking everyone who contributed and asked that the funds raised be delivered to the beneficiary families in a clear and transparent manner. According to her, the goal has always been to maximize the impact of the contributions, helping both Valter and other emerging causes.
