Mozambican filmmaker Bacali Kumpocha is celebrating another birthday of his father, even though he is far from home in South Africa. The distance, however, did not prevent Bacali from publicly demonstrating his appreciation and gratitude for his father.
On his social media, Bacali shared an emotional message accompanied by a photograph of his father, honoring him for the fundamental role he played in his life:
“"Happy birthday Dad, my greatest pride. Today I remember your belt slaps when we were playing badly, haha. Thank you for all the teachings, Grandma Kumpocha. May you always have good health, love, peace, and may you always be able to keep your radio on your corner."”
The publication not only reflects the close relationship between father and son, but also highlights the admiration and respect that Bacali has for his father.
Bacali Kumpocha is known in the Mozambican film industry for his creative work and dedication to art. Even though he is physically distant, the filmmaker continues to value his roots and honor his family.
