Black Bulls goalkeeper Ernani Siluane has become the biggest concern for the coaching staff led by Hélder Duarte. After returning from the National Team injured, where he participated in the games against Mali and Guinea-Bissau, the keeper has been training in a limited capacity, presenting muscular limitations and problems in the metatarsal.
Despite the difficulties evident during yesterday's two training sessions, the medical and technical team remains confident that Ernani will be fit to defend the goal against Al Ahly, the powerful Egyptian giant, in Wednesday's decisive match.
According to Alejandro Perez, the club's doctor, the athlete's clinical condition has been improving:
“"He arrived injured from the national team, but we believe he'll be ready for the game. He trained normally today."”
Hélder Duarte, coach of Black Bulls, reinforces his confidence in the goalkeeper's ability to recover:
“Ernani is a warrior and a great professional. He has overcome the most difficult challenges and, on several occasions, has shown his champion spirit by playing even in adverse conditions.”
While Ernani remains under evaluation, another player, Victor, is also undergoing specialized treatment in Maputo. However, there is good news for the fans: Victor should be available for the match against Al Masry, scheduled for December 8th at the Zimpeto National Stadium.
The coaching staff still faces the challenge of managing the players' muscle fatigue, a consequence of the long journey and intense competitive schedule. However, the focus remains firmly on the match against Al Ahly, a crucial test for the "bulls" in their international campaign.
Ernani's presence could be a decisive factor, and the entire Black Bulls team is counting on their starting goalkeeper's recovery for this important challenge.
