The duo Classic Nova is much more than a musical group. Formed by brothers Delton Obadias Matimbe (The Visow Beatz) and Palívio Jorge Cumbane (Palivio The Visow), this duo's story is marked by overcoming obstacles, determination, and success. Born in Inhambane province, north of southern Mozambique, these young artists rose from humble beginnings with a shared dream: to achieve musical stardom.
From Inhambane to the Capital: An Inspiring Journey
Delton was born on October 30, 1994, in the Inharrime district, while Palívio was born on October 11, 1993, in the city of Inhambane. It was in 2011, while attending the same school in Inharrime, that the brothers decided to join forces and form the duo Classic Nova. From the beginning, their passion for music was evident, and they began a promising path that would soon take them to the stages of the country's capital.
The journey, however, was not easy. Obstacles and personal disagreements briefly separated the group. However, their shared dream of making music prevailed, and their reconciliation proved to be a turning point in their career.
Recognition and the 2024 PALOP Award
In 2024, the duo's efforts and talent were internationally recognized when they won the award for "Best Male Artist from the PALOP." This achievement further solidified Classic Nova's position in the music scene in Mozambique and abroad, proving that past challenges have been overcome.
A Discography of Hits
Since forming, the duo has released songs that have captured the hearts of fans, such as "Estava no Limão," "Perdoa," and "Mais um Pouco." In 2021, they released the album "Íntimos," a collection that includes hits like "Mira," "Pilha Usada," and "Palavras." These songs have become soundtracks to important moments in the lives of many listeners, reaffirming the brothers' talent and versatility.
Beyond Music: Talent Development
The duo also stands out for their role in fostering new talent in the country. Through their production company, The Visow, they helped launch artists like Tamyres Moiane and Melony, demonstrating their commitment to the development of the Mozambican music scene.
The Strength of a Shared Dream
Classic Nova's story is a testament to the power of perseverance and teamwork. Despite ups and downs, the brothers remain steadfast, delivering new hits and inspiring young artists to pursue their dreams.
Today, Delton and Palívio are more than singers; they are friends, brothers, and an example of unity and resilience in the music world. With a legacy that continues to grow, Classic Nova remains a leading figure in Mozambican music.
