Atlético Madrid secures a hard-fought victory against Leganés: 3-1 keeps the club in third position.

Atlético Madrid, with Renildo Mandava, secured another important victory in La Liga by beating Leganés 3-1 at the Metropolitano Stadium. Despite the favorable result, the "Colchoneros" did not have an easy start and needed a comeback to secure the three points.

The game began with Leganés surprisingly opening the scoring in the 34th minute through Yvan Neyou, putting the visiting team ahead and leaving Atlético behind before halftime. However, Diego Simeone's men responded in the second half, pressing intensely in search of an equalizer.

In the 69th minute, Alexander Sørloth equalized for Atlético, a moment that revitalized the team. From that goal onwards, the Madrid side dominated the game. Antoine Griezmann, always decisive, scored the second goal in the 81st minute, putting Atlético ahead for the first time.

In stoppage time, Sørloth shone again, sealing the final result by scoring the third goal in the 90+6th minute. With this victory, Atlético Madrid now has 20 points, securing third place in the table, behind Barcelona and Real Madrid.

This triumph marks the team's fifth consecutive victory and highlights the resilience of the "Colchoneros," who remain firmly in the fight for the top spots in the competition.

Renildo Mandava, the Mozambican full-back, maintained a solid presence in defense, contributing to the team's defensive balance, although the offensive highlights were Griezmann and Sørloth.

Atlético Madrid continues to demonstrate its resilience and ambition, remaining firmly in the hunt for the top of the table.
