Mozambican company Líder Sport, which specializes in the sale of sports equipment, has signed a sponsorship agreement with striker Elias Macamo, a player for Desportivo de Nacala and the current top scorer in the 2024 Moçambola National Football Championship. The agreement was signed last Saturday, October 12, during a luncheon held in the city of Matola.
According to António Fumo, a representative of Líder Sport, the objective of this sponsorship is to motivate the player to continue his impressive performances on the field, especially with a view to producing more goals, both for his club and for the national team.
“"For us, it's a simple but significant agreement. Macamo is a standout player in Mozambican football, and because we're involved in the sport, we're offering this sponsorship until next season. We'll provide customized equipment from the brand of his choice to encourage him to maintain his excellent performance."” said António Fumo.
In addition to representing Líder Sport, António Fumo is also a sports commentator on Television of Mozambique (TVM), and believes that this gesture can further enhance the value of Elias Macamo, who has shone in the championship. “"With this agreement, we want him to continue scoring goals and, in doing so, serving his club, the national team, and the joy of Mozambican football fans."”
Elias Macamo, visibly pleased with the agreement, expressed how much this gesture means to him: “"This agreement is very motivating. I thank Líder Sport for the partnership, which encourages me to continue scoring goals for Desportivo de Nacala and the national team."”
Macamo recently returned to the Mambas' squad and was instrumental in scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 victory against Guinea-Bissau. He leads the Moçambola 2024 top scorers list with 12 goals, with just three rounds remaining.
With this sponsorship, Macamo, already a leading figure in Mozambican football, receives a new boost to continue his excellent form and, who knows, further increase his goalscoring record, benefiting both his club and the Mozambique national team.
