Mozambique's National Team Holds Second Training Session at Black Bulls Field Focusing on Double Match Against Eswatini

The National Team held its second training session today at the Black Bulls training ground, in preparation for the double-header against Eswatini, as part of the CAN qualifiers. The "Mambas" arrive at this training camp undefeated in the first two matches, after a draw against Mali and a victory against Guinea-Bissau at the Zimpeto National Stadium.

Despite Eswatini having suffered two defeats in previous rounds, striker Gildo Vilanculos highlighted the importance of maintaining respect for the opponent. “Eswatini is a team that, even coming off defeats, deserves respect. We can't underestimate anyone,” commented Vilanculos, reinforcing the need for a cautious approach.

Teammate Witi shares the same opinion, stating that in modern football, there are no easy opponents. "The focus is on achieving a victory, and our objective is to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations," Witi emphasized, demonstrating the group's ambition.

Vilanculos also highlighted the pride he feels representing Mozambique. “The team will do everything to represent the Mozambican people in the best way possible. It’s a huge honor to be on the team,” concluded the player, motivated by the responsibility of leading the country to another historic qualification.

Mozambique is seeking its second consecutive qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), something unprecedented in its history. In its last participation, in 2023, the "Mambas" secured two draws and scored four goals, earning two points in Ivory Coast. Now, training intensively at the Black Bulls training ground, the team seeks to improve on that performance and continue its successful trajectory.

The second training session, held this afternoon, reinforced the group's focus on achieving a good result in the upcoming double-header against Eswatini, vital for their ambitions of qualifying for the continental tournament.
