Clube Desportos da Maxaquene, one of the historic giants of Mozambican football, will not participate in the final qualifying round for the Moçambola 2025. The decision was confirmed after the draw held this morning at the headquarters of the Mozambican Football Federation (FMF). Despite qualifying on the field, the "tricolores" were eliminated from the competition for failing to meet the licensing requirements.
The absence of Maxaquene, who have been national champions on several occasions, leaves a void in the competition, but expectations remain high with the teams still fighting for a place in the country's top football league.
