Fred Jossias celebrates his 38th birthday today

Today, September 17, 2024, we celebrate the 38th birthday of Fred Jossias, one of Mozambique's most iconic media figures. Born in 1986 in Maputo, Fred Jossias carved out a niche for himself in the world of television, becoming widely known as the "King of Beefs" for his unique approach to presenting his programs and his commentary on famous Mozambicans.

From an early age, Fred demonstrated a penchant for communication. During his childhood, while he enjoyed freehand drawing and playing soccer as a junior goalkeeper for Costa do Sol, no one imagined he would become one of the most influential voices in Mozambican media. It was at church that his family recognized his talent for communication, something that would later lead him to revolutionize the country's television landscape.

Fred Jossias's television career began with his appearance on Adélia Gil's show, where he performed as a clown. However, it was hosting the program "Atracções" that Fred made his mark, becoming the first host to promote Mozambican music in prime time, earning him recognition from viewers and artists alike.

In 2010, his work was widely recognized, winning the "Best Presenter" and "Best Music Program" categories at the Mozambique Music Awards (MMA). However, his bold and irreverent approach wasn't always well received. In 2014, after an incident in which rapper Azagaia smoked suruma live on "Atracções," Fred was fired from TV Miramar.

This didn't stop him from continuing his successful journey. In 2015, he premiered the program "Batidas" on TV Sucesso, further cementing his presence in television entertainment. In September 2020, Fred took an even bigger step by launching his own television channel, Tua TV (TTV), demonstrating his entrepreneurial vision and commitment to promoting Mozambican culture.

In 2020, Fred was nominated for the “Best Presenters in Africa” category at the African Entertainment Awards – USA (AEA USA), a nomination that reinforces the impact of his work internationally.

On this special day, we wish Fred Jossias a happy birthday, filled with success, health, and many accomplishments. May he continue to inspire and entertain Mozambique with his talent and charisma!
