Mozambican international Witiness Leta Quembo, known as Witi, is preparing to make his debut in the UAE Pro League, after overcoming a physical discomfort that prevented him from participating in his team's previous match. The Mozambican winger will be on the field next Saturday (24), in a duel against Sharjah, valid for the first round of the country's main competition.
Last week, Witi was unable to play due to his physical condition, which hampered his debut for Dibba Al-Hisn. Without the Mozambican, the team was defeated 4-2 in the preliminary round of the United Arab Emirates League Cup. However, after returning to training on Tuesday (20), Witi was once again an option for Brazilian coach Caio Zanardi.
The Mozambican winger arrives in the United Arab Emirates with a remarkable resume. Last season, Witi scored 10 goals and contributed 12 assists, a performance that caught the club's attention. Before transferring to Dibba Al-Hisn, the player spent 10 years at Nacional da Madeira, where he played over 150 games and had decisive contributions with 27 goals and 47 assists.
Now, in addition to starting a new chapter in the United Arab Emirates, Witi is also included in Chiquinho Conde's preliminary squad for Mozambique's upcoming international matches. Witi's debut game for Dibba Al-Hisn will be held at the Saqr Bin Mohammad AlQassimi Stadium at 6:30 PM Maputo time.
