The countdown to this year's FIA Motorsport Games has begun, and Mozambique is preparing to participate with five drivers from the Automóvel e Touring Clube de Moçambique (ATCM). The event, which will take place in Valencia, Spain, will feature participation from over 70 countries around the world.
The five Mozambican drivers will compete in four different categories. Zanil Satar will be the standout performer in the Drift category. Satar, a Mozambican international driver, is known for his experience and talent in the Drift category, and this is his second consecutive participation in the FIA Motorsport Games.
In Karting, Mozambique will be represented by three drivers: Ghazi Motlekar, who will also be competing for the second consecutive year, and newcomers Pedro Matavela and Eduardo Campos. Motlekar's presence, in particular, brings important continuity to Mozambique's representation in this sport.
In Formula 4 (F4), driver Lagson Leão will represent Mozambique. Leão has a successful track record in previous karting categories, and his participation in F4 is highly anticipated.
Miguel Tiago, head of the delegation and member of the ATCM Board of Directors, emphasized that one of the pilots' main goals is to improve Mozambique's performance in all disciplines. Tiago also mentioned that the delegation is prepared for a robust presentation, with all the necessary conditions for high-level representation.
As in the country's debut at the FIA Motorsport Games in 2022, Mozambique will be represented by talented and promising drivers. The expectation is that the national team will surpass its previous performances and achieve notable results in the competition. In the coming days, the ATCM intends to register more drivers, further expanding Mozambican representation at the event.
