The Confederation of African Football (CAF) today released an official statement announcing the dates for the final phase of the 2024 African Beach Soccer Championship. The tournament will take place from October 19 to 26, 2024, in Hurghada, Egypt, as announced following the CAF Executive Committee meeting held on July 30, 2024.
Mozambique secured its qualification for this final stage after a convincing campaign against the Seychelles Islands. The Mozambican team won the qualifying matches with an aggregate score of 7-3 in Victoria and 2-1 in Maputo, standing out for its robust performance and the determination that characterized its journey. The national team will begin its preparation for the final tournament next Monday, August 12th.
The eight teams that qualified for the final stage of the 2024 African Beach Soccer Championship are: Egypt, Morocco, Tanzania, Ghana, Mauritania, Mozambique, Malawi, and Senegal.
