Mozambican international David Malembana is moving on to new challenges. After a season with FC Noah in Armenia, Malembana signed with Al-Kharaitiyat, a Qatari first division club.
Malembana began his career with Dynamo Dresden II in 2013 and moved to Goslarer SC two years later. In 2016, he joined Berliner FC Dynamo, where he made 56 appearances in the Regionalliga Nordost and won two Berlin Cups. On July 12, 2019, Malembana signed a three-year contract with Lokomotiv Plovdiv of the Bulgarian First League, after a successful trial with the club. He made his debut a week later, coming on as a substitute for Parvizdzhon Umarbayev in the final minutes of a 3–2 league match against Slavia Sofia. In February 2022, Malembana joined Lokomotiv Sofia, Bulgaria's other major railway club.
Now, Malembana heads to Qatar to reinforce Al-Kharaitiyat, continuing his international career.
