Mozambique secured its third consecutive participation in the African Beach Soccer Championship (CAN) by defeating Seychelles this afternoon at the Costa do Sol Arena. The final score was 2-1 in favor of the Mozambican team, consolidating an overall victory of 9-4 on aggregate.
After a resounding 7-3 away win, the national team opted for a more modest result, beating Seychelles by just 2-1 in the return leg. Despite the narrower victory, the main objective was achieved: qualification for the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations, which will be held in Egypt later this year.
With this victory, Mozambique secures its place in the continental competition, while Seychelles will not qualify for the tournament. The Mozambican team, which demonstrated a solid performance during the qualifiers, is now preparing to face new challenges at the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
