The creation is by Machel Fidus, with the work of designers Malenga and Coana, who designed the uniform with the intention of highlighting important elements of national identity.
The uniforms of the Mozambique Mission were designed to immortalize Ngungunhane, a symbol of Mozambican resistance and culture. The outfit includes a brightly colored capulana jacket, a traditional fabric that symbolizes the country's culture and heritage. The white trousers that complement the uniform display the national flag, creating a look that reflects pride and patriotism.
According to Machel Fidus, the goal is not only to pay a meaningful tribute to Ngungunhane, but also to showcase Mozambique's rich cultural heritage to the world through the capulana, an iconic piece of the country's traditional clothing.
