FIFA Publishes Results of Player Agent Examination in Mozambique

On May 22nd, the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) released the results of the licensing exam for Player Agents, held at the headquarters of the Mozambican Football Federation (FMF). The exam, which aimed to ensure the credibility and integrity of the football player representation system, had a total of six candidates, of whom three were approved: Edgar Cossa, Hipparchus Baptista, and Lucas Gune.

Among those approved, Edgar Cossa stood out by fulfilling all the necessary requirements and received the FIFA license, identified by the number 202405-5898. Hipparchus Baptista and Lucas Gune were also approved, but still need to complete some pending requirements to obtain their official licenses.

The publication of these results reflects the importance of a rigorous and transparent licensing process. FIFA implemented the new Football Agents Regulations after extensive consultations with member associations and stakeholders, ensuring that licensed agents possess a deep understanding of the market, legal knowledge, and the necessary management skills.

Football agents play a crucial role in players' careers, helping to identify and create opportunities that enhance their professional trajectories. The exam aims to ensure that only the most qualified and ethical candidates are recognized as licensed agents.

The FMF congratulates the approved candidates and encourages all interested parties to follow the guidelines established by FIFA. This process is a crucial step in strengthening the integrity of the representation system in global football and ensuring that agents act with the highest standard of professionalism.
