Cleyton Michaque, known as the "drone prodigy," and Marvin Cossa, two young Mozambicans, achieved a prominent position in the international robotics competition held in Harare, Zimbabwe, on June 29th and 30th. Representing Mozambique, the duo managed to win 3rd place, demonstrating their skills and creativity in a highly competitive environment.
Cleyton and Marvin's participation was made possible by the AEROMAP STEAM ACADEMY program, an initiative that seeks to promote education in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) among young Mozambicans. The program aims to encourage technological innovation and prepare students to face global challenges through hands-on projects and international competitions.
During the competition, Cleyton and Marvin presented an innovative project that combined the use of drones with robotic solutions, impressing the judges and other participants with their creative and effective approach. This international recognition not only puts Mozambique on the world robotics map, but also inspires other young people in the country to pursue careers in technology and innovation.
Cleyton and Marvin's achievement serves as an example of the potential that exists among young Mozambicans and highlights the importance of investments in technological education and training programs such as the AEROMAP STEAM ACADEMY. With continued support and appropriate opportunities, more young people will be able to follow in the footsteps of these two talented students and achieve great things on the global stage.
