The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Eldevina Materula, paid a visit to renowned Mozambican musician Xidiminguana, with the aim of comforting the artist and his family, as well as ensuring support for health care and other needs.
“"We are here to provide warmth and support to the musician, in a joint effort with our partners who support us and allow us to bring better days to Xidiminguana and other icons of our culture," said Minister Materula.
Due to Xidiminguana's speech and hearing difficulties, it was up to his daughter-in-law to describe the musician's daily challenges. She expressed satisfaction and honor at the Minister's visit, emphasizing the importance of this support for the family.
During the visit, the Minister wished the author of several national hits a speedy recovery and promised to return soon for another courtesy visit and follow-up. This action reflects the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's commitment to supporting and promoting Mozambique's cultural icons, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance to live with dignity and comfort.
