Edmilson Dove, the left-back for Kaizer Chiefs and the Mozambican national team, has been called up for the games against Somalia and Guinea-Conakry. He is a regular name in coach Chiquinho Conde's squads.
Edmilson Dove's history with football began in 2013 in the youth ranks of Ferroviário de Maputo, where he remained until 2016. In 2017, he embraced the challenge of moving to South African football, joining Cape Town City, where he played until 2021. The following year, Dove returned to Mozambique to represent União Desportiva do Songo, but his return to South African football was not long in coming, signing for Kaizer Chiefs in 2022, the club he currently represents.
Long-time Mozambican International

Dove, in his left-back position, has become a regular in the Mozambican national team's call-ups. His experience and technical quality make him a crucial element in coach Chiquinho Conde's tactical scheme, and he is regularly called up to defend the Mambas colors.
Two Crucial Challenges Ahead

In the upcoming double round of qualifying matches for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Edmilson Dove will once again be called up for the games against Somalia on the 7th at the Zimpeto National Stadium, and Guinea-Conakry on the 10th in Morocco. These two matches will be crucial for Mozambique's aspirations to reach the final stage of the continental competition.
A Call to Action for Mozambicans

The Mozambican Football Federation invites all Mozambicans to be present at the Zimpeto National Stadium on the 7th to support the national team at this crucial moment. The presence and support of the Mambas fans will be fundamental in propelling the team towards victory.
