“"Known affectionately as 'girl from the neighborhood' in Mozambique, Assa Matusse is a singer, songwriter, and possesses an unmistakable voice. The artist is building a melodic path based on her experiences in Africa and other parts of the world. Born in 1994 into a family of five siblings in the Mavalane neighborhood of Maputo, she cultivated a love for music from a young age, influenced by her father's singing and guitar playing during family gatherings. From an early age, Assa Matusse attracted attention with her singing and dancing, and since then, her talent has been showcased in national and international music competitions and projects.

She sings in Portuguese, English, and French, but it is in Changana, her native language, where she expresses herself best.
She has two albums, “Mais Eu” and “Mutchangana”, the latter of which was released in April 2023 in Paris, France, where she currently resides.
