Maber Investimento and Matines join forces to present the First Marrabenta Festival: Celebrating the New Generation of Mozambican Artists.

Marrabenta, so deeply rooted in Mozambique's cultural identity, is more than just a dance or a rhythm – it's an expression of the Mozambican soul. This festival aims to highlight and honor this rich musical heritage, showcasing a selection of talented new generation artists who are elevating Marrabenta to new heights of excellence.

Among the artists who will light up the Matinees stage are some of the most prominent names in the current music scene, including Mabermuda, Mr. Xikheto, Mr. Tonito – the current king of music in Gaza province – Nann Jhulson, Nelson Tivane, Yazy, as well as the renowned comedian Wantsongo, and many others. It will be a night full of energy, rhythm and talent, where each artist will bring their own unique interpretation of the iconic Marrabenta sound.

The chosen venue for this memorable event is Matines, located on the ring road just past the bus terminal for those exiting the Zimpeto bridge towards Matola, on the first floor well before the first roundabout. With its welcoming atmosphere and quality stage, Matines will provide the ideal setting for an unforgettable night of music and celebration.

This festival would not be possible without the generous support of mabrinhenhe_chongo_official and #VGEntertainment, whose commitment to promoting Mozambican culture is truly inspiring. Thanks to them, this event will be a unique opportunity for music lovers to come together and celebrate the rich diversity and talent that Marrabenta has to offer.

So mark March 20th on your calendar and join us for the First Marrabenta Festival. Get ready to dance, sing and get involved with the pulsating rhythm of Mozambican music – because this is our Marrabenta, and this is our moment to shine.
