Mozambican boxing is celebrating, and rightfully so! In a historic achievement, the sport secured its place in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, becoming the first national representation to qualify for the prestigious sporting event.
The news was officially confirmed by the President of the Mozambican Boxing Federation, Gabriel Junior, who closely followed the games in Dakar, Senegal.
Overwhelmed with emotion and gratitude, he expressed his joy on social media, stating: “We will be at the biggest sporting event in the world, we believe. Thank you to God, thank you Mozambique, thank you to the athletes, thank you to the coaches, thank you to the academies, thank you to all the institutions, to our Government, to COM, SED, Grupo Sucesso, Éden, to my colleagues at the federation, to the press, thank you to everyone, everyone, everyone.”
