Inácio Soares, a coach seeking his first Moçambola title as head coach. Inácio's journey in the world of football is a story of growth and dedication, which has led him to play a key role in the success of the Black Bulls team.
Inácio Soares was hired by Black Bulls in 2017, initially as an assistant to Hélder Duarte, in addition to coaching the youth and junior teams. His contribution to the club was remarkable, culminating in winning the national title in 2021, with Black Bulls accumulating an impressive 58 points, three more than Ferroviário da Beira.
However, Inácio Soares' transition to the head coach position occurred in 2022, following Hélder Duarte's departure for Portugal. Unfortunately, the team failed to retain the national championship title that season, but this did not diminish Inácio's commitment and determination.
The 2023 season brought new challenges for Inácio Soares, starting as assistant to Portuguese coach Hugo Martins. However, halfway through the Moçambola season, due to unsatisfactory results, Hugo Martins left the team and Inácio Soares took over as head coach. This decision proved to be the right one, as Inácio Soares gained the trust of the club's management and now has the opportunity to win the national championship title.
The Black Bulls team is in an exciting race for the title, just one point behind leaders Ferroviário de Nampula and Beira, both with 36 points. To achieve this feat, Inácio Soares and his team need to win their last Moçambola game and hope that their direct competitors lose their matches.
