One of the most remarkable aspects of this achievement was the incredible turnaround in the final weeks of the competition. Ferroviário de Maputo finished the season tied on points with Costa do Sol, which set up a thrilling title race. However, Ferroviário prevailed due to their performance in the head-to-head matches between the two teams.
In previous matches between Ferroviário de Maputo and Costa do Sol, Nasir Salé's team emerged victorious with a 21-point win (76-55). This victory demonstrated the team's quality and skill, consolidating their position in the championship. Although Costa do Sol managed a 9-point victory (56-47) in the head-to-head matchup, it was not enough to overcome Ferroviário.
This victory is especially significant for Ferroviário de Maputo, as it is their second title of the season, following their victory in the Opening Tournament. The team has proven its consistency and ability throughout the season, earning the respect and admiration of fans and opponents alike.
Besides Ferroviário de Maputo's outstanding performance, another notable game in the competition involved the Lazio team and Águias Especiais, who were at the bottom of the standings. Lazio emerged victorious, defeating Águias Especiais by a margin of 27 points, finishing the game with a score of 59-32. This result allowed Lazio to move up from 7th position and climb in the standings, overtaking Desportivo.
