The Chibuto District, in Gaza province, annually promotes the Bambeni Festival, which showcases the potential of the lagoon and the diverse gastronomic, artisanal, and cultural offerings of the local communities and beyond. The goal is to attract national and international tourists and investors. This year, Mr. Xikheto was one of the guests invited to entertain the audience with his many hits.
This is a project that emerged as an initiative of the Chibuto District Government in partnership with the District Business Council (CED) /CTA within the scope of the implementation of Law 15/2011 of August 10th relating to Public/Private Partnerships.
The festival offered various activities for the public who traveled to the location to witness the event. These included visits to the lagoon (appreciation and viewing of boats), an exhibition and sale of agricultural products, handicrafts and gastronomy; activities such as sport fishing, canoeing, fishing, surfing, sailing, etc., in addition to a cultural and musical show with local and national artists. For the 2023 edition, we count on the participation of the prince of Marrabenta.
The Bambene Festival is a historic moment in the District and the high point for the promotion of inland tourism at the District level, where national and foreign tourists are the center of attention and can enjoy various local products, gastronomy and culture.
