Having passed away on March 9, 2023, Azagaia remains an undisputed figure in protest music, with works such as <em>Babalaz<\/em> and <em>Cubaliwa<\/em> to serve as a political and cultural manifesto.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Namaacha, Maputo province, in 1984, Azagaia began his musical career at the age of 13 with the group Dinastia Bantu and released his first solo album in 2007.
