Today, February 16, 2025<\/strong>, Roger Dinis Cuco<\/strong>, better known as Mr. Kuka<\/strong>, celebrates 37 years of life<\/strong>, marking more than two decades of dedication to Mozambican music. Born in Maputo in 1988<\/strong>, the artist established himself as one of the great names of Pandza<\/strong>, a musical style that he helped shape and popularize.<\/p>\n His passion for music began in the early 2000s, influenced by friends and family. 2005<\/strong>, formed the group 717<\/strong> next to Big Paul and Chury<\/strong>, under the production of DJ Ardiles<\/strong>, a partner who accompanies him to this day. Initially in Hip-Hop, Mr. Kuka expanded his talent to Pandza, a genre that was gaining traction in Mozambique.<\/p>\n THE big leap<\/strong> in his career it happened in 2007<\/strong>, when he released the hit \u201cBirinka Mal\u201d<\/strong>, followed by \u201cAs You Like It\u201d<\/strong>, alongside DJ Ardiles. His first major appearance was in 2010<\/strong>, in the show \u201cOnly Mozambique, Only Us\u201d<\/strong>, paving the way for participation in important festivals such as First Pandza Festival<\/strong> and the UMOJA Festival<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Recognition came in 2013<\/strong>, when he won the award for Best Pandza at the Mozambique Music Awards<\/strong>, with the music \u201c"Me too"\u201d<\/strong>. In the same year, he released his first album, \u201cVa Le Hi Ma Cord Vocal\u201d<\/strong>, where he explored his vocal versatility.
