The Madrid derby, held this Sunday, ended in a 1-1 draw, in a game marked by intense emotions and incidents. Atl\u00e9tico de Madrid, led by Mozambican international Reinildo Mandava, managed to snatch a last-gasp draw against Real Madrid thanks to a goal from \u00c1ngel Correa in the 90th minute.<\/p>\n

Real Madrid had the lead since the 64th minute, when \u00c9der Milit\u00e3o headed in the opener after a corner. The game seemed to be heading toward a victory for the Merengues, but Atl\u00e9tico, playing at home, refused to accept defeat. The equalizer came in the final moments of extra time, when Correa capitalized on a defensive lapse to score and level the score.<\/p>\n

The derby had moments of great tension, particularly in the 80th minute, when play was stopped for almost 10 minutes. This occurred after Atl\u00e9tico fans threw projectiles at Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois when their team was trailing. The situation caused considerable confusion, but play was eventually resumed.<\/p>\n

The intensity of the match didn't stop there. In stoppage time, in the 90+9 minute, Atl\u00e9tico were reduced to 10 men after Marcos Llorente was sent off for a hard foul. Despite the setback, the Colchoneros showed resilience and, with the support of the fans, managed to equalize the score before the final whistle.<\/p>\n

Reinildo Mandava, who started the match, was substituted during the second half after a solid defensive performance as he tried to contain Real Madrid's constant attacks.<\/p>\n

With this draw, Real Madrid remains in second place in the table with 18 points, while Atl\u00e9tico Madrid now has 16, remaining close to their rivals in the standings. The result makes the championship even more balanced, with both teams continuing to fight for the top spots.<\/p>\n
