Many questioned why an AMAF official was in charge of a club team, but Arão Júnior clarified that this situation is, in fact, part of his responsibilities within the national sports system.

Aaron Junior Explains the Situation

In response to the criticism, Arão Júnior explained that, in addition to presiding over AMAF, he is also part of the structure of the Mozambican Football Federation (FMF), which justifies his appointment to lead delegations in international competitions, including those of clubs like Black Bulls. According to him, this type of situation is absolutely normal and is part of the collective work carried out by the federation.

“This is a general situation, and it’s normal because I belong to the Mozambican Football Federation. The fact that I am president of AMAF does not prevent me from performing other functions assigned by the FMF. When the Federation appoints someone to accompany a delegation, whether it’s the national team or clubs, as in the case of Black Bulls, that’s part of the work we all do for the nation,” said Arão Júnior.

The Role of the Mozambican Football Federation

The FMF, as the main regulatory body for football in the country, is responsible for appointing representatives to accompany and manage delegations in international competitions. This function is assigned to members of the federation, regardless of other positions they may hold, such as president of affiliated associations, as in the case of Arão Júnior.

Therefore, the participation of the AMAF president leading the Black Bulls delegation was a decision of the FMF, and does not represent any kind of conflict of interest. Arão Júnior reiterated that his job is to serve Mozambican football in its various forms, and that this task is part of the overall commitment to the development of national sport.

Reactions in the Sports World

Although Arão Júnior's explanation dispelled some of the criticism, the debate opened up space for reflection on transparency and communication regarding sports management in Mozambique. Some sports analysts highlighted that, although the practice is common, the initial lack of clarity generated doubts among football fans and professionals.

However, many understood that the duality of functions within the FMF is common and necessary, given the multifunctional role of its members, who often accumulate different responsibilities.

The president of AMAF, Arão Júnior, ended the controversy by stating that his role leading the Black Bulls delegation was an extension of his duties at the Mozambican Football Federation. For him, it is a normal responsibility aimed at ensuring the proper representation and management of Mozambican delegations in international competitions.

The presence of Arão Júnior in Congo with Black Bulls is a reminder of the commitment of sports leaders to the success and representation of Mozambican football, whether at the national team or club level.

In recent days, the Mozambican sporting world has been stirred by a debate surrounding the presence of the president of the Mozambican Association of Football Referees (AMAF), Arão Júnior, leading the Black Bulls delegation during the team's trip to Congo.
