The visit was part of his interest in learning firsthand about the situation of the people living there, as well as the work of organizations providing humanitarian aid.<\/p>\n<p>The Maratane center is one of the largest refugee reception facilities in Mozambique, housing thousands of people who have fled conflict and crises in their countries of origin. Hamilton&#039;s presence at the center brought greater visibility to the situation of the refugees and the work carried out by the teams on the ground.<\/p>\n<p>Hamilton expressed his admiration for the resilience of the refugees and the dedication of the humanitarian workers. &quot;The strength, spirit and resilience of the people I met will stay with me for the rest of my life, as will the compassion of those working on the ground to defend and protect their lives,&quot; said the driver.<\/p>\n<p>Lewis Hamilton&#039;s visit to Maratane highlighted his involvement in social and humanitarian issues, adding a new chapter to his already well-known commitment to global causes.
