The club appealed for calm "to the Tricolor Nation, sports lovers and the general public, as the appropriate appeal will be presented to the FAF's jurisdictional body".
The disciplinary body at the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) also punished Kabuscorp do Palanca with relegation to the second division for corruption during the Girabola qualifying rounds, suspending the club's president, Bento Kangamba, for four years.
The coach of Acad\u00e9mica do Lobito, Agostinho Tramagal, was punished with a four-year suspension, also for corruption, after admitting to receiving 1 million kwanzas.
1\u00ba de Agosto was also fined 176,000 kwanzas for failing to fulfill its obligations to the FAF.
Journalist Adolfo Manuel, from R\u00e1dio Nacional de Angola, is also targeted in the FAF statement for having acted as an intermediary in the corruption scheme involving Kabuscorp and Acad\u00e9mica do Lobito. The case files have been sent to the regulatory bodies of the profession and to his employer.
The Angolan Football Federation (FAF) has also confirmed the cancellation of the Angolan Super Cup.
