However, a surprising turn of events occurred this morning when the Mozambican Football Federation announced via its official Facebook page that Guinea-Bissau would be replaced by Angola in the FIFA international matches.
Mozambique's participation in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations is a moment of great importance for national football, and the FMF (Mozambican Football Federation) is determined to ensure that the Mambas (Mozambique national team) are well prepared to face the challenges the competition will bring. To this end, the team will hold a pre-competition training camp in the Algarve, Portugal, from October 8th to 17th. According to CAF procedures, all twenty-four federations of nations that qualified for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast will receive a monetary prize. Each federation will receive $500,000, equivalent to 32 million meticais, for their achievement in the thrilling qualifying match held on September 9th at the Zimpeto National Stadium.
